About the NHP Foundation
The NHP Foundation is a 501(c) (3) charitable educational organization created and granted tax exempt status under the Internal Revenue Service Code. The National Hispanic Press Foundation promotes Hispanic publications through community outreach to academic and professional institutions, facilitation of research and recognition of excellence in the field. These objectives support the mission and frame the NHP Foundation’s structure, governance, staffing and budget process and include:
- Ensuring a focus on activities that will advance the goal of expanding the success of Hispanic populations in the publications industry,
- Collaborating with other industry organizations when appropriate,
- Supporting on-going survey research to determine industry needs and business trends,
- Harnessing the expertise and resources of the industry’s educational bodies to support the achievement of the Foundation's mission,
- Consistently publicizing the results of the work of the NHP Foundation.
- Supporting the work programs and services of the National Association of HIspanic
Publications, Inc.
HOW TO SUPPORT THE NHP FOUNDATION
Contributors can support theNational Hispanic Press Foundation by sponsoring a Scholar ($10,000 a year for 4 years or naming a Scholar in perpetuity with a $200,000 gift), donating funds outright and/or contributing to the Foundation’s Endowment Fund. Notable contributors to the fund include The Ford Motor Company Fund, Coca Cola Company, State Farm Insurance, PepsiCo, Lockheed Martin, Continental Airlines, Exelon and the United States Navy.
